THE OPPORTUNITY

One of Northeast Ohio's largest, fastest growing and most creative retail and consumer products organizations seeks a Front End Visual Designer/Developer for their major e-commerce sites for a full-time contract assignment that may convert to a permanent role for the right person. The position is responsible the conceptual design and development of all company branded websites. This person will be responsible for impacting the aesthetic and functional aspects of all website communications and continuous improvement, evolution and application of enhancements.

Working closely with the Internet Creative Specialist, Copy Manager, Director of E-commerce and AVP of Advertising, this person will ensure the quality and integrity of the information on major e-commerce sites. Additionally, this person will assure total quality design and content development while providing timely updates for all websites.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

HTML and CSS mandatory.
Mac Operating System; Quark Express 7.0; Photoshop CS3; Illustrator CS3; Adobe Acrobat Reader; Dreamweaver; Flash; Fireworks.
Java Script and IBM Websphere 7 experience a plus
Fashion or other product related design work a plus
Visual communications educational background

SKILLS/CHARACTERISTICS

Background in the fashion industry
Personal sense of style
Excellent design sense
Nuance and finesse
Strong organizational, communication and time management skills.

COMPENSATION
